Bought a rough old E20

I bought this old E20 hoping I might be able to restore it to working condition. It's rougher than I was hoping. Doesn't look to me like there's any hope for the electronics. It did roll and steer ok. What next? My inclination is to hook the motor up to power and see how it does. And then if the motor and mechanics seem fine, to replace all the wiring and electronics.
